Learning Curve

shapeimage_1-1Friends and Family,

It’s a warm, sunny Friday here in Franklin and I hope this finds you well. Jennifer is almost fully recovered from her surgery and is doing much better. The kids are battling colds and are coughing like chain smokers. It could be a lot worse though. As always, the Lord is and has been good to us. Thanks again for remembering us when you pray. Your notes have been encouraging.

This morning I sat with Missy and Barrett from the Mocha Club and we talked about raising awareness for our continued partnerships in Africa. Barrett (Mocha Club founder) just recently moved back from Africa earlier this spring and is still readjusting to the American pace. He and I talked about how technology and things like twitter and facebook are still foreign to us and make us question how “real” our cyber-relationships really are. I shared with him how over the next few weeks with the release of our new album and our single “What it Feels Like”, we will be hiring people to re-work our website and internet sites. I told him how those people are urging us to expand those relationships and stay more in touch with our “fans” (I’m not sure I would call them fans). I said that I understand how this is important but I want it to be as real as possible. I don’t want to just stay connected with people so we can use them to sell albums.

I was thinking about all of this as I was rocking Sadie-Claire to sleep for her nap just a minute ago. I decided to write this to you to tell you about the coming changes to our internet sites and how we approach our web relationships. Here’s what I want you to know… Jennifer and I are honored that you let us be a part of your lives. We want to stay in touch with you to whatever extent you will allow us but we do not intend to use this relationship to merely sell you music. We’ll continue to let you know what is happening with us and keep sending you music so long as you want us to and in the same way we truly want to hear from you and how we can pray and walk together. If at anytime you feel like we are abusing our relationship please let us know. This is a learning curve for us as it probably is for many of you but we feel it is worth the effort. I didn’t think that at 35 years old I’d be the old dog needing to learn the new tricks.

The FFH.net site may be down for a few days in the coming weeks for re-design. Our facebook and myspace page will also be getting a facelift. Soon these blogs will appear on blogspot but will always be available at FFH.net as well. Through all the changes any emails to FFH@me.com will come directly to Jennifer laptop and my laptop.

Those of you in our Mocha Club team will receive these blogs as well. Please forgive us if you receive them twice for a short time.

Peace and blessings, with love – Jeromy
